Fetim Group is a leading supplier of home improvement products in the Benelux region. Founded in the Netherlands in 1919, the company has become a trusted name in the construction and home improvement industries with products including flooring, window decoration, and sanitary accessories. Fetim’s primary customer base is hardware and DIY stores, which account for 60% of its business. Fetim also supplies specialized flooring retailers, the professional building market, as well as online retailers.

Despite operating in a relatively analog marketplace, Fetim identified the value it could extract by leading the charge for digital transformation. Thanks to the implementation of the inriver PIM and the development of a digital B2B platform, Fetim was able to begin its transition towards more digital-first ways of working. This included moving away from traditional phone and email orders into a more reactive, digital process.

3. Improved product data quality

Thanks to significant improvements to the quality of its product data, Fetim was able to increase sales and reduce product returns, cutting down on associated costs of returns. Internal research showed that Fetim products with more detailed data and imagery had higher purchase rates.

4. Efficient asset management

As part of its digital transformation, Fetim also implemented a DAM system from Bynder into its tech stack. The inriver integration with Bynder created a single source of truth for all product data and digital assets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency on every channel.

5. Automated processes

Through the implementation of automated data extraction and syndication processes, Fetim was able to reduce the workload of employees while improving service levels. Data from the inriver PIM is automatically extracted and imported into Power BI for real-time analysis.

6. Global reach and integration

The inriver Syndication capability now allows Fetim to share data seamlessly with external suppliers, including those in China. This has ensured that all channels within Fetim, both in terms of customer and supply chain, are fully integrated.
